Specific Details Launch of our new strategy which aims to influence policy and systemic change regarding penal policy - we aim to change perceptions, societal attitudes and behaviours regarding people's journeys through the criminal justice system.

Intended results Draw attention of Minister for Justice and TDs to our new identity and new objectives regarding influencing policy and systemic change. We also aimed to raise awareness of our achievements in the past 25 years, supporting 65,000 people to build their lives after prison, including helping over 15,000 people into education and training and over 10,000 people to get jobs.

CEO Sharan Kelly presented Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan with our new strategy and requested a meeting to talk through our new priorities. Informal meeting took place at Irish Penal Reform Trust event on 10 April 2025 which our organisation attended as invitees.

CEO Sharan Kelly presented Matt Carthy TD with a copy of our new strategy and discussed our work at Loughan House in Cavan on 3 April 2025 at strategy launch event in Mansion House to which we had invited Matt Carthy.
