The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.

Letter (2-5)

A letter was sent to the Minister and Ministers of State seeking a meeting with them and a follow up phone call was made. Follow up emails to arrange a date and time for a meeting with the OGP were sent. A letter was also sent to the TDs listed seeking a meeting to discuss the matter.

Meeting (1)

One meeting took place in the Office of Government Procurement. Rehab's CEO and Director of Public Affairs attended with Vincent Campbell and another official. We discussed how the Public Procurement Directives were being enforced in Ireland and the OGP's plans to write guidance on the use of the EU procurement directives' social clauses. Rehab explained how the social clauses are being used to great effect in Scotland to promote the employment of people with disabilities. Rehab offered to provide ongoing examples of good practice in social procurement which the OGP could use to showcase the benefits of social procurement in future information events.
