Specific Details Support for the PURE Project (Protecting Upland Rural Environments). 2016 was the final year of the current funding arrangement with the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment for the PURE Project. The PURE Project is the 1st of its kind in Ireland, tackling illegal dumping and fly-tipping in upland areas since 2006 and is a household name in the Wicklow/Dublin Uplands

Intended results A proposal for the extension of the project was submitted to The Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment by the PURE Project manager. Political support was sought for the proposal.
