Email All TDs Report of the Joint Committee on Justice of July 2021, the Irish Government has now processed a last-minuet Amendment to the “Courts and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2022 that would introduce a new section to the Data Protection Act, called section (26A). This new section 26A would largely criminalise debates and criticism regarding the work and conduct of the DPC.
