Specific Details The Select Committee on Budgetary Oversight invited SGI to attend the oireachtas to discuss the Film Credit tax expenditure. SGI accepted the invitation and 3 members of the team attended the Dail on the 12th October. SGI subsequently sent an email invitation to the committee inviting them to attend a film set to meet with crew and see the industry in person.

Intended results We intended to discuss the benefits of the Film Credit tax expenditure to the film and television industry, which we did.

Meeting (1)

Three members of SGI: Jessica Drum (CEO), Greg Keeley (Board Member) and Eoin Holohan (Board Member) attended the committee on Budgetary Oversight (by invitation) on Wednesday 12th October 2022 between 5:30 and 7:30pm in LH2000, Leinster House. They discussed the Film Credit Tax Expenditure.

Email (6-10)

Following on from the Oireachtas attendance, SGI subsequently emailed an invitation to the members of the committee who were in attendance, inviting them to attend a film set should they wish to see the industry in action. None of the committee replied to the email or invitation.
