Intended results Share the findings of a quantitative and qualitative study of c. 200 startups and fast-growing internet businesses across Europe including Ireland, and their views on public policy and regulation as enablers and blockers to business growth Highlight the views of startups and online businesses, including their perception that policy is often geared towards incumbents, concerns about lack of ‘digital first’ policy, enthusiasm for ‘smart regulation’ such as EU rules on open banking, and perception that the Irish and wider European entrepreneurial ecosystem and talent base is strong Share Stripe's insights on roadblocks to and opportunities for startup success in Ireland and the wider EU Encourage Irish and EU policymakers to engage with startups and fast-growing internet businesses, and consider their needs and insights when designing and implementing public policy and regulation, and thereby help European and Irish startups reach their full potential
