The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.
Email (2-5)
In the context of escalating volatility of gas prices and supplies EAI requested a meeting to determine what plans are in place or progressing to manage the scenario where gas supply does not meet demand.
This was followed by an email with letter attached in the context of the extreme and volatile prices in the energy market, driven by the war in Ukraine. The letter outline key issues that are driving increased costs for consumers and make suggestions to enable continued trading by participants in gas and electricity markets. The points that our EAI committees holistically wish to raise for discussion with you relate to the EU Toolbox and latest EU discussions and proposals, collateral considerations for the Irish market and the implementation, in an Irish context, of EU Gas Storage policy
