Virtual Meeting (1)

P Barrett, Chartered Engineer, co presented a lecture relating to the 'Cork Harbour Economy' on 19 Oct 2021. This was a public lecture by the Director of Services for Roads and Transportation (P Barrett), Cork County Council, and would have been of interest primarily to members of the Cork Region of Engineers Ireland. (Ahead of the talk there would have been communications from the Branch to arrange the lecture).

Virtual Meeting (1)

Dr K. McCarthy, Councillor and historian, (Phd in Geography) delivered a lecture on 25 November 2021 to members of the Cork Region. The lecture was entitled: "Engineering Nineteenth Century Cork - Exploring the Work and Times of Sir John Benson." It was held in association with the Friends of Crawford Art Gallery and as part of the Region’s 80th anniversary. As part of the lecture planning, communication would have taken place from the Regional Branch to Dr McCarthy.
