The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.

Email (11-20)

Emails exchange with the Ministers and TD Jackie Cahill to coordinate visit and to inform on what locations they were going to visit and what activities were on offer and other persons in attendance. Contact made with their respective staffs to coordinate movement and timing of visits and to see if any follow up was required post visitation.

Event / Reception (2-5)

Brief meet and greet with Minister Rabbitte and TD Cahill in Dublin and Nenagh staff and supported individuals followed by service centre tour and meeting with supported individuals to discuss challenges and opportunities presented to disabilities. The visits intended to highlight the challenges faced by supported individuals in getting additional job supports and respite services. Minister Chambers was on hand to learn about fitness programming on offer in Dublin as part of his role as Minister of State for Sport. A small group of supported persons were on hand to lobby Minister Rabbitte and TD Jackie Cahill in person at their events. A larger gathering of supported individuals were present for the gathering with Minister Chambers.
