Intended results Following a press release announcing participation of credit unions in the COVID-19 Capital Guarantee Scheme we sought to address the disappointing inequitable treatment of our group of credit unions who had diligently followed the timelines determined by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and the SBCI and to ensure no recurrence of such an approach.

We registered our dissatisfaction regarding the unprofessional treatment of the Credit Union Groups that were excluded from the earlier than planned launch date and press release, the disrespect shown to those credit unions who had worked diligently to the timelines set out by the Department and the SBCI, along with the lack of accountability and transparency evidenced.
