Specific Details Create a taskforce to tackle the derelection and high commercial vacancy rates in Ballina through colloboration with public, private and voluntary organisatons in Ballina, Co Mayo.

Intended results By creating a Derelection and Vacancy Taskforce, a core group can identify a series of actions needed to help reduce the high vacancy rates pravelient in town, identify buildings that have become derelect, and supported by local authority, voluntary groups on agreed key actions in order to address the high vacancy rates and falling vibrancy of Ballina Town. By identifying a series of actions needed over a 1-3 year period, the group would support town centre renewal, create new opportunities.

Meeting (2-5)

Ballina derelection and vacancy taskforce comprises of Declan Turnbull and Robbie McGuire, Mayo Co Co, Ballina Chamber of Commerce, Ballina Tidy Towns, Ballina Lions Cliub, Ballina Community Cleanup and plan on hosting a series of meetings, in order for short and long term actions and results be planned, so that results can bee seen, immediate action is imperative in order for short term gains with long term results.
