Meeting in DCCAE, Adelaide Road with Brian Carroll, assistant Secretary and other officials to discuss the delay in implementing the Nationwide Bituminous Ban and press the need for a Nationwide Ban as soon as possible.

Budget submission re planned significant increase in Carbon Tax, effect on Fuel Poverty, effect on emissions to air, grey market and avoidance of Carbon Tax and lack of enforcement in this area, cost to the exchequer of compensating fuel poor, traded solid fuel ahead of 20% EU reduction target by 2020, and an alternative targeted approach for the solid fuel sector.
