Specific Details UISCE was requested to write a letter of support for a group of participants of La Nua CE Scheme to present to Minister Catherine Byrne. In this letter, UISCE stated how the organisation advocated on behalf of the group of participants by communicating with the board of management of the BFRC (service that hosts the CE Scheme) as well as the DEASP, TUSLA and the IHREC. UISCE provided to the group but we were informed that the meeting ended up not taking place.

Intended results UISCE aimed to inform Minister Byrne of the steps the organisation took to advocate on behalf of this group and the responses UISCE obtained from all relevant agencies that were contacted by the organisation, including the Board of BFRC.

Letter (1)

The letter was sent via email to the representative of the group that UISCE was advocating for, in order for them to have it in hand during the meeting with Minister Byrne. UISCE was invited to the meeting but attendance was not possible for the organisation. When UISCE follow up with the person that had requested this letter of support, they inform the organisation that the meeting with the Minister never ended up taking place (UISCE is not aware why).
