Meeting (1)
Joint meeting with NGO partner organisations including Nasc, the Irish Refugee Council and Doras Luimní presenting nationally representative polling from the Social Change Initiative on public attitudes towards immigration. Polling found majority think no child should grow up undocumented; that migration has not been negative for Ireland; society sees itself as open and welcoming; majority want clear pathways to citizenship for children and those who have been here for a sustained period. There is widespread support for positive integration measures including access to language support.
Event / Reception (1)
A joint public briefing session was held with Nasc, the Irish Refugee Council, Doras Luimní and the Children's Rights Alliance to present the Social Change Initiative polling in the AV Room. Findings from the polling (as above) were discussed.
