Intended results The Minister attended a photocall to mark Engineers Week 2018 and the work of Engineers Ireland's Steps education programme was highlighted with the Minister during the course of the event.

Email requesting the Minister's involvement in Engineers Week. Note that originally we had asked the Minister to launch our new report on Engineering 2018 in February as part of Engineers Week but he was unable to do so. He was available however to undertake the photocall in early March.

Phone calls relating to a suitable location - as Storm Emma impacted on timing of the event.

Event / Reception (1)

Photocall took place on 7 March 2018 to highlight Engineers Week 2018 involving 'Stevie the Robot' created by Trinity College Engineering Students. The location was at Make Shop in Dublin 2 (part of the Science Gallery). Ms Spillane and Ms Kehoe spoke briefly to the Minister at that event about the work of Engineers Ireland's steps programme.
