On 3rd October 2017, a meeting took place between Special Olympics Ireland and Fingal County Council representatives (listed below) to discuss Special Olympics Ireland's upcoming 2018 Games. This meeting was held at Fingal County Council's offices in Swords. Special Olympics Ireland made a presentation which was followed by discussion. The discussion centered around logistics, planning and funding for these Games.
