Meeting (2-5)
Mountaineering Ireland's CEO held an informal meeting, at the sidelines of another event, with Minister Paschal Donohoe (26/11/2015) and separately with Minister of State Michael Ring (26/11/2015) about ways to promote and encourage the sustainable use of Ireland's upland areas and improve and secure ongoing access to those areas for Mountaineering Ireland members and other responsible recreational users. The upland path erosion issues discussed were with specific reference to work ongoing work Errigal, Slibh Liag and Croagh Patrick.
The CEO was also part of a pre-budget meeting with Minister Donohoe and his officials on 01/10/2016 regarding the funding of sport and sport policy.
The CEO and the Hillwalking, Access & Conservation Officer held a meeting with senior officials in Waterford City & County Council (19/11/2016), including Lar Power, in relation to an unauthorised pathway development in the Mahon Valley
