Made a request to the Chairperson (Senator Frances Black), Vice-Chairperson ( Gino Kenny TD) and Secretary (Senator Pádraig Mac Lochlainn) of Oireachtas Friends of Palestine to host a meeting with Mr. Ayed Abu Eqtaish of Defence for Children International - Palestine to discuss the harsh realities of life for Palestinian children living under Israeli occupation.

Meeting took place on Tuesday 29th November, under the auspices of Oireachtas Friends of Palestine.

As a follow up to the meeting, a brief note was sent to representatives that attended (details below) asking them to look at the website of Defence for Children International - Palestine, specifically the 'No Way To Treat A Child' campaign (http://nwttac.dci-palestine.org/), and if they were in a position to do so, to take whatever action they could on this vital issue of the wholesale abuse children's rights.
