Intended results Introduce a range of financial supports, including a payroll tax support for small/Independent employers, to help businesses stay alive during this transition. Energy Costs are still double what were before the war in Ukraine and are a huge strain on may small businesses. The Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme (TBESS) is a scheme to support businesses with increases in the electricity or natural gas energy costs has been a huge help and a lifeline for many small businesses. We would like the government to extend TBESS or introduce a new simple scheme providing support at least until the end of 2023.
