Informal communication (1)

Simon Coveney visited our emergency shelter, Edel House, in July, to mark the launch of a construction project, funded by the Department of Housing, to extend and re-furbish Edel House. On this occasion we raised with him the lack of provision for families who are homeless in Cork to access free public transport to facilitate travel between emergency accommodation and school; and requested his intervention with the Department to have this scheme extended to Cork.
